I am currently in the final year of my doctoral studies in Sociology. I have a First Class BA Hons in English Literature and an MRes in English Literature. My thesis examines the portrayal of discriminatory surveillance practices in twenty-first century dystopian fiction, set in and written by authors from the global north and global south. My areas of expertise include twentieth century literature, twenty-first century literature, speculative fiction, science fiction, surveillance studies and critical and cultural theory.
